NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
Naturopathic medicine is a distinct system of health care that addresses the root causes of illness, and promotes health and healing using natural therapies. It supports your body’s own healing ability using an integrated approach to disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
Naturopaths use a range of modalities, allowing them to develop a truly holistic and individualized treatment plan for every patient. These modalities include (but are not limited to): acupuncture/Asian medicine, botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, detoxification, homeopathic medicine, lifestyle counseling, and physical medicine.
Naturopathic Medicine has been a regulated profession in Ontario since 1925 and the costs of seeing a practitioner are covered under most extended Health Benefit Plans.
