If you have not tried Matcha, it is a worthy addition to your tea cupboard. Matcha green tea  is loaded with antioxidants and has a long list of impressive health benefits such as improved memory, mood, concentration, energy and metabolism. Try substituting your morning or afternoon cup of tea or coffee for a matcha latte…you can’t go wrong.

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/2 cup organic coconut milk
  • 1 tsp matcha green tea powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Preparation:

  • Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until creamy and frothy.
  • Pour into a mug and enjoy!

Notes:

This is quite filling due to healthy fat content from the coconut milk and oil. If you want a lighter latte, you can skip the coconut oil and halve the coconut milk or opt for almond milk in place of the coconut milk.
